GAO Xingshi is a new PhD candidate at WUR, Education and Learning Science (ELS) group. She holds a MA in Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages from University College London and a BA in English from Donghua University.
Before joining ELS, Xingshi was a grant assistant at Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU) and a part-time IELTS teacher in a language institution. Her teaching experience fuels her research interests in the education of language learning and teaching. Her research focus is the interaction between students’ English writing ability and feedback content on mindful cognitive processing when providing and receiving peer feedback and the quality of revision. She is working on the project under the supervision of Dr. Harm Biemans, Dr. Judith Gulikers and Dr. Omid Noroozi.
