Pengfei Li is a PhD candidate supervised by Prof.dr.ir. SM (Saskia) van Ruth and Dr. SW (Sara) Erasmus in the Food Quality and Design Group from 2021. His research topic is 'Smart analysis of packaging code patterns for enhanced food traceability, transparency, and integrity'. The aim of this study is to explore and optimise analytics of spatio-temporal patterns of data from QR codes scanned by consumers in various scenarios for development of an early warning system to detect several types of emerging food frauds.
