I did my bachelor’s in Biological Sciences in my hometown, Turin, in north of Italy. During those years, I realized that what interested me the most about biology was its application. Thus, after my bachelor’s, I enrolled in the master’s degree course in Industrial Biotechnology. I graduated in June 2021 with a thesis on Metabolic Engineering.
I started my PhD at WUR in November 2021. My project, in collaboration between FQD and FBR, is entitled "Animal-free milk proteins: development of a secretion system for bovine caseins".
