Facial skin temperature and other measurements of emotions in pigs

Using deep learning or artificial intelligence (AI) to assess animal welfare is a new interdisciplinary area of research. In this project, the potentials of thermal imaging and AI were explored in animal emotion research. Thermal cameras play a vital role in obtaining and collecting a large amount of data, and AI has the capabilities of processing and extracting valuable information from these data. A deep learning model was developed to detect and extract temperature in the area of interest, which was chosen as the ear base of pig in this research. For furthe information, please check this link
