Jeanne is conducting her PhD research on the governance of forest ecosystem services (FES) in Europe. She has a particular interest in European forest policies and the analysis thereof, and the  perceptions different stakeholders hold of FES and its governance. Jeanne works at the European Forest Institute (Bonn). After she completed a master’s degree in Law at Stellenbosch University, South Africa and qualified as an attorney, she pursued a career in environmental policy, specifically forest policy. She obtained a master’s degree (with honours) in Tropical and International Forestry at Göttingen University, Germany. Jeanne completed traineeships, a.o. at DG CLIMA.
