Biografie

Dereje Amene Yimam is an Assistant professor of environmental management at the Department of Development and Environmental Management Studies, University of Gondar and the former Coordinator of Climate Change Research Center. He has earned advanced MSc degree in Globalization and Development from University of Antwerp, Belgium and MA degree in Public Policy and Sustainable Development from University of Gondar, Ethiopia. Dereje Amene has participated and led different small-grant projects funded by the University of Gondar, Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF), South-Initiative VLIR-UOS program of Belgian government, and Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU). He is a cofounder of Tayitu local development organization and a Mandela Washington Fellow. Currently, he is a PhD candidate at Wageningen University and Research.
