Elske Brouwer-Brolsma is researcher at the Division of Human Nutrition and Health at Wageningen University and has 10 years of experience in nutrition research, predominantly focusing on epidemiological studies. Initially her research focused on the aging population, which shifted more towards dietary assessment and early-life nutrition during the past 5 years. Elske is currently involved in several national and international consortia on advancements in dietary assessment (Pride and Prejudice, 4TU-UIT-346), food biomarker research (JPI FoodBAll, 2014/16267/ZONMW) and metabolic health (EU PREVIEW 312057 & EU SWEET 774293). She is (co-) author of >50 peer-reviewed publications and is currently supervising 5 PhD-candidates. Moreover, she is co-founder of a patent on the use of 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 to enhance executive functions (US Patent 9,707,242, Brouwer-Brolsma et al. (2017)).
