Dr. Yali Si received B.S. in Land Resources Management from Henan Agricultural University, China in 2003 and M.S. in Geo-information for Natural Resources and Environment Management from the International Institute for Geo-information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) in the Netherlands in 2006. She received her doctorate in Spatial Ecology at ITC and Wageningen University in the Netherlands in 2011. She currently works as an Associate Professor in the Department of Earth System Science at Tsinghua University, China. Her main research interests cover remote sensing and GIS-based animal habitat and movement modeling, vector-borne and zoonotic disease mapping, and global change effect on animal migration and disease transmission.
