Through my work at a consumer electronics repair company I have come to touch with technology. Because I was responsible for orders and billing and found out in practice that I had a lot of affinity with the profession, I went to an intern to follow various courses to become a camera technician. I did this for a number of years until the business was terminated. Then I got into the photo branch, where my technical insight also proved very valuable. Because this industry was very heavily influenced by digital photography and the internet, I made a switch to the commercial industry.
Because technology continued to attract, several courses have been followed to first line IT technician with Microsoft, Novell and Linux certificates.
By Volunteering at PSG as a technician, I joined the Wageningen University & Research. Here I am working with great pleasure and I can use all my knowledge and skills. Especially the diversity of the work attracts me. Technology is the red thread in my life, so I feel very much at ease here.
