Desiree Lucassen is a PhD researcher at the Division of Human Nutrition and Health at Wageningen University. She has a bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and a master's degree in Health Education and Promotion (cum laude). Desiree started her career at the division as a research dietitian, participating in >10 dietary controlled trials, dietary intervention studies and food consumption studies. Her current research focuses on innovations in the assessment of dietary behaviours. At the moment, Desiree is involved in both national and international consortia on advancements in dietary assessment (Smart Food Intake AF-16096 & Pride and Prejudice 4TU-UIT-346) and the use of big data for health behaviour research (BigO EU-727688).
