Karolina Doughty (PhD in Geog. from Uni. of Southampton, UK) is Assistant Professor and PhD Coordinator in the Cultural Geography group. She is a human geographer focusing on interactions between place and wellbeing, with a particular interest in interactions with nature and soundscapes. Her research utilizes qualitative, ethnographic and audio-visual modes of enquiry. She has published widely on topics such as therapeutic landscapes, geographies of sound, and everyday mobilities. Recent publications can be found on Research Gate or Academia.edu. 

Karolina is an editorial board member of the journal Emotion, Space and Society.

She is interested in supervising students on the following topics:
