As a marine ecologist specializing in benthos themes, I study the biodiversity at artificial hard substrates in the North Sea. Currently, I am mastering how to control a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) in order to take video footage in offshore areas as well as more natural systems such as oyster reefs. This can be used to determine the state of a particular system in a relatively simple and fast way.
