He studied a Bachelor in Genetics in the Autonomous University of Barcelona, followed by an MSc in Plant Biotechnology at Wageningen University. In 2023 he defended his doctorate thesis entitled "Harvesting data from polyploid plants: developing genetic analysis tools in strawberry" in which he dived deep into QTL analysis and linkage mapping in polyploids.
