PhD project: Slow Sand Filtration
Unravel the microbial processes in existing and next generation slow sand filters (SSF) that relate to biodegradable dissolved organic carbon (BDOC) removal. This project is part of a multidisciplinary research which will result in better understanding of the working principles of SSF as well as their novel design and operation, which make SSF ready for the next century.
