I am a Mexican PhD candidate at Wageningen University. I study how coffee policies influence the terms of participation of different types of farmers in the market. I am interested in agrarian change analysis and theories that study the relationship between the State, market and farmers. I have worked as a consultant at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). My main responsibility was developing socio-economic analysis. Apart from IFAD, I worked for RIMISP, which is a Latin-American Research Centre. I was part of a team that supported the Mexican government with the design of rural policies.
