Reserach programme: Insects as sustainable feed for a circular economy: interdisciplinary approach to value chain development (INSECTFEED)

PhD project: Insects as feed for poultry
The project aims to investigate effects of nutritional properties of fly larvae and insect bioactive compounds on poultry (broilers & laying hens) health and welfare. Furthermore, physical formulation aspects and attractiveness to poultry will be examined. Performance, product quality parameters, and blood parameters related to poultry health will be evaluated as well as behavioural assessments.
