After my education as a food technologist I foccussed on new process development in the field of chemical- and food process engineering, first within TNO and since 2018 at WFBR. The research I focus on has a strong link with the primary production process and generally works towards the production of a semi-product or ingredient. The scale-up of processes from lab to small pilot scale is the core of my expertise. Several relevant unit operations are available in-house. Besides this I work as a consultant for food-related projects and have a role in the development of circular agriculture and the reduction of especially nitrogen emissions from the primary sector.
