Robert Ochago is a Ph.D. candidate at Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands. Robert served as a Program Officer-Private Public Partnerships, Market Access, and Gender with Sasakawa Africa Association-Uganda and as a Gender, Monitoring, and Evaluation specialist at the International Livestock Research Institute before starting the Ph.D. program. Ochago also worked as a teaching assistant at Busitema University's department of crop production and management.

Robert's research focuses on the design, management, and implementation of learning strategies to solve wicked problems in the food and agriculture sector. His research is part of a larger initiative known as Developing Value Chain Innovation Platforms to improve Food Security in East and Southern Africa (VIP4FS).

Developing Value Chain Innovation Platforms to improve Food Security in East and Southern Africa (VIP4FS). This Australian funded project seeks to understand how innovations platforms can be used and strengthened to improve social capital and income among farming communities.

Robert Ochago is currently, a PhD Candidate at Wageningen University & Research in The Netherlands. Robert Ochago holds a Msc. and a Bachelor's degree (Agriculture Extension Education) from  Makerere University and National Diploma in Animlal Husbandry from Bukalasa Agricultural College,Uganda.
