Biografie

Experienced Research Technologist with a demonstrated history of working in the machinery industry. Strong research professional skilled in Food Technology, Protein Chemistry, and Meat.

Focus on carbohydrate and protein chemistry for the production of sausage casings with co-extrusion equipment. My field of expertise in on co-extrusion and casing technology (alginate, collagen, hybrid gels). To study the effect of processes like stability (protein precipitation), adhesion, fiber alignment, temperature effects (denaturation), cross linking (e.g. liquid smoke), etc. on casing performance. My main task is to gather scientific knowledge, to study theoretical models, executing experiments and translating the generated knowledge into technological principles for prototypes and transferring knowledge to the development department by giving presentations and writing scientific reports. The generated knowledge is used for the development of new equipment for the food industry, mainly for the further processing of animal proteins (bovine, pork, chicken and fish).
