He worked as a researcher in the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada Indonesia. His thesis focus on adolescent anaemia, pubertal onset, and mental health among Indonesian adolescent, as part of the Ten2Twenty project which conducted in Ethiopia, Filipina, Indonesia, Nepal, Mexico and Ghana
