I studied Food Engineering at Ege University, Izmir, Turkey.

I have 20 years of experience in food industry starting with a scientific research at ATO-DLO, agrotechnological Research Institute at Wageningen, The Netherlands. I had done research on two subjects. One was on improving the quality of sterilized brown beans including their sensory evaluation and a detailed literature research (for a private company, HAK) and the other one was on microwave processed mushrooms including their sensory evaluation.

My next experience was at one of the biggest dairy companies in Turkey (Pinar Dairy). I worked on the quality control of both raw and packaging materials and on quality assurance (ISO, TQM) issues. I also worked on the research and development of the most convenient packaging materials both for existing and new products. This gave me the opportunity to work closely with R&D, process, marketing, supply chain departments and suppliers.

My last experience was in Tetra Pak working as a customer representative both for local and export customers. During this period, I had the opportunity to work with worldwide Tetra Pak factories and also market companies.
