I am a Biologist with a master's degree in development and environment at the Federal University of Piauí, Brazil. My background is in the tropics, especially the neotropical region, where I have worked with the structure, dynamics, composition, and functional diversity of the Brazilian Seasonally Dry Tropical Forests. I am currently Ph.D. candidate in the Plant Ecology and Nature Conservation Group–WUR and at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. My current research focuses on understanding the effects of climate change on neotropical species, where I have been investigating the acclimation and adaptation components of photosynthesis temperature dependence in the neotropical savannas in Brazil.
