Biography

I am an interdisciplinary scientist fascinated by living systems and curious to understand how biomolecules self-organize to give rise to life. My interests lie in soft matter (from membranes to cytoskeleton), bottom-up biology, and on-chip microfluidic technology. We are currently trying to understand how cells move, specifically the cytoskeleton-based cellular morphogenesis and the role of intracellular compartmentalization in these processes. We largely employ a bioengineering approach, using on-chip microfludic systems.
