In 2017 Patricija obtained her bachelor's degree in Horticultural Engineering from Faculty of Agriculture at University of Zagreb, Croatia. During her undergraduate studies, Patricija gained broad knowledge in the field of plant nutrition, plant protection, oenology, pomology, ornamental plants and vegetables growing. Finally, she did her bachelor thesis at the Department of Viticulture and Oenology under supervision of Dr. Marin Mihaljevic Zulj.
Same year Patricija started her master's studies in International Horticulture at Faculty of Natural Sciences at Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany.
In 2018 Patricija transferred to Plant Sciences master program at Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, Germany. There she acquired great knowledge in molecular stress physiology (desiccation tolerance) and cellular biology of plants. She finished her studies with a thesis at the Institute of Molecular Physiology and Biotechnology of Plants under supervision of Prof. Dr. Dorothea Bartels.
In 2020 Patricija started her doctoral studies at the Plant Physiology Department at Wageningen University and Research under supervision of Prof. Dr. Ing. Leonie Bentsink where she is investigating the dynamics and protection of stored mRNAs in primed seeds to ensure seed survival.
