Biografie

Welcome to my page. My name is Shahab. I was born and raised in Iran. Currently, I am a tenure-track Assistant Professor of "Smart Grids in Urban Energy and Water Systems", at the Environmental Technology group of Wageningen University & Research. I am a senior member of IEEE. I am also a member of INFORMS & the global observatory on peer-to-peer (GO P2P) community.

I received the B.Sc. degree from the University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran, in 2008, the M.Sc. degree from the Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree from the Delft University of Technology, Delft, the Netherlands, in 2015, all in electrical engineering. From 2015 to 2017, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the School of Electrical Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands. From Feb 2017 to March 2020, I was a Researcher Scientist with the Flemish Institute for Technological Research, Mol, Belgium, and EnergyVille, Gent, Belgium. I have been involved in European H 2020 projects (Magnitude, FHP, Coordinate), as well as in fundamental research projects.

My work is mainly oriented towards studying renewable-based energy systems, infrastructure planning in a green economy, and the interplay between the underlying subsystems / mechanisms. My research interests include system modelling, energy economics, applied statistics, optimization theory and their applications in energy system management and analysis.

Please don't hesitate to contact me.
