Biography

I am an MSc student of Plant Sciences at Wageningen University, specializing in Plant Breeding and Genetic Resources. I graduated in Agricultural Sciences at the University of Pisa, in Italy, while holding a full scholarship as an Honor's Student at Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies. I am Board Member at GeneSprout Initiative, a youth-led organization that advocates for an open dialogue on New Plant Breeding Techniques and their Policy in Europe.

I am pursuing a Minor in Econometrics and Statistics. I have a solid background in Intellectual Property, Economics of Science, Bioeconomy, Economics of Innovation, Economics of Climate Change, and Policies of Innovation. I have worked at the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture at the FAO in Rome, focusing on the impact of the genomic data revolution on Access and Benefit Sharing. I have also worked in topics ranging from organic supply chains, supply chains of environmental goods, plant breeders' rights, local and conservation varieties, citizen science, at institutions such as Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies and the National Research Council of Agricultural Economics (CREA) in Rome.

I am passionate about science communication and I strongly believe in the power of youth-led advocacy. I am an Agro-Food tech enthusiast and I believe in the transformative potential of small agro-food businesses.
