I am an assistant professor in the field of dynamic meteorology. My main interest lies in extratropical cyclones. More specifically I look into why and when cyclone clustering, the swift succession of extratropical cyclones, happens. Moreover, I am also interested in the link of cylones to moisture transport, e.g. does cyclone clustering leads to more extreme precipitation?

I am the coordinator of the course Atmospheric Dynamics in the 2nd period of each study year, moreover I help with the courses Meterology and Climate and Atmospheric Practical.
