Yifei Zhou is currently doing his aio-PhD at the Laboratory of Organic Chemistry of Wageningen University & Research (WUR). He startet his PhD research under the supervision from Prof. Han Zuilhof and Dr. Fedor Miloserdov since October 2020.
Yifei was born and raised up in Zhengzhou which is located in central China. He received his BSc degree from Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech, Nanfang Keji Daxue, Shenzhen) in 2016 and then worked in Prof. Yanqing Tian's lab as a research assistant in the field of biosensor until he was admitted by the joint master program of SUSTech & HIT. In July 2020, he obtained his MSc degree from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) under Prof. Chuang-chuang Li's supervision and moved to Wageningen to pursue his PhD training.
Currently, Yifei's main research interest for his PhD is focusing on transition-metal-complexes and related asymmetric catalysis. He can also perform organic synthesis work thanks to the work during his master thesis about novel synthetic route towards the skeleton of taxol molecule.
